В США в Калифорнии сняли так называемое "суперцветение" весенних цветов из космоса с помощью спутника WorldView-2. Снимки демонстрируют каньон Уокер в 80 километрах от Лос-Анджелеса, который преобразился из-за оранжевых маков. Об этом пишет The Business Insider.
Подобное явление можно наблюдать в регионе лишь один раз в десять лет, с наступлением весны.
Возникло оно из-за сочетания обильных дождей и не слишком высоких температур, которые благотворно сказались на растениях.
Это зрелище привлекло огромный наплыв туристов, из-за чего в соседнем с каньоном городком Эльсинор образовались пробки.
А власти ограничили доступ в каньон по выходным, чтобы уменьшить столпотворение.

If only I’d known back then that there was a place where the entire world was painted orange. Still all smiles from yesterday’s field trip to see the California Poppies in bloom.
